The Montreal Irish Monument Park Foundation was proud to join the Irish community in welcoming Ambassador Concannon and Mrs. Mary Concannon to Canada during a warm reception at The Forget House in Montreal. Hosted by Bryan O’Gallagher, Honorary Consul of Ireland to Québec, the event celebrated the strong historical ties between Ireland and Québec.

The Foundation was honored to be among distinguished Irish organizations, including Ciné Gael Montréal, the School of Irish Studies at Concordia, and the St. Patrick’s Society of Montreal, showcasing the vibrant Irish culture in our city. Special guests included Dennis Dawson, Grand Marshall, and Lisa Shortt, Community Development Advisor at SRQEA (Secrétariat au relations avec les Québécois d’expression anglaise) .

Guests enjoyed a memorable evening of Irish fusion music by Montreal’s own Gráinne, further highlighting the rich cultural connections we strive to preserve. The Montreal Irish Monument Park Foundation remains committed to honoring these shared traditions and strengthening our community.
